Golden Hour Espresso Ritual

Ingredients

• 2 shots freshly brewed Sunset Pour espresso
• 1 teaspoon dark honey
• ¼ teaspoon pure almond extract
• Tiny pinch of fine sea salt
• 1 cup ice
• 1 teaspoon lightly toasted sliced almonds
• Optional: a delicate drizzle of honey

The Ritual

1. Stir the dark honey into the freshly brewed espresso until completely dissolved.
2. Add the espresso, almond extract, sea salt, and ice to a cocktail shaker.
3. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds, until chilled and crowned with a silken foam.
4. Strain into a chilled coupe or small cocktail glass.
5. Finish with toasted almonds and the lightest ribbon of honey.

The Ritual

2. Warm the milk until steaming, without allowing it to boil.
3. Froth the milk into fine, glossy microfoam.
4. Pour the milk slowly into the espresso, keeping the coffee and milk beautifully balanced.
5. Finish with the faintest dusting of cinnamon.

• ½ oz dark-honey syrup
• 2 dashes aromatic bitters
• 1 large clear ice cube
• 1 strip orange peel
• 1 dark cocktail cherry

For the Dark-Honey Syrup

• 1 tablespoon dark honey
• 1 tablespoon warm water

The Ritual

1. Stir the dark honey and warm water together until smooth.
2. Add the bourbon, cooled espresso, dark-honey syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice.
3. Stir until deeply chilled and beautifully balanced.
4. Strain over one large ice cube in a cut-crystal rocks glass.
5. Express the orange peel over the drink and finish with the peel and a dark cocktail cherry.
